Banner Accounts and Passwords

Banner can be accessed here (On-Campus Only).

If you need Banner access you must first complete a security form and submit to Central Office Information Security.  You can download the form through INFONET in Campus Connect.

Each Banner Password must:

  • Be at least 8 characters long
  • Contain at least one upper case alpha character
  • Contain at least one numeric character
  • Contain at least one of the following special characters +  -  !  ?  .  %  {  }
  • Do NOT use the following special characters @  $  &  /  \  =  #  ;  ~
  • Do not use embedded spaces
  • You cannot use a portion of your name
  • Your password cannot begin with a special character

Key Points:

  • Passwords will expire every 90 days.
  • The previous 24 passwords cannot be repeated and username and password cannot be the same.
  • You account will lock after 15 failed login attempts or 15 failed attempts to change your password.  You must contact the help desk to have your account unlocked.
  • Your INB session will expire after 60 minutes of inactivity

To Change Your Banner Password:

  • Log in to Banner
  • There will be a link under "My Links" called "Changer Banner Password", click that link
  • When prompted, enter the old password
  • When prompted, enter the new password (must be entered twice)
  • Password has now been changed

Notes:

  • Once changed, your password will be set to expire in 90 days
  • Beginning 5 days prior to expiration, you will receive a pop-up notification every time you login to Banner reminding you to change your password
  • On the day your password expires, when you log in to INB, you will be notified that your password has expired.  In order to access Banner, you must change it when prompted.
