2. Is there any free software that Ivy Tech recommends? The following software may be useful for your studies and it is available for download free of charge.
Microsoft Products
Viewer software is for users who do not have Microsoft products. It allows them to view Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Access files, but does not allow the user to edit these files.

Open Office
OpenOffice is comparable to the Microsoft Office Suite except it is totally free! OpenOffice comes with programs that are equivalent to Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Access. These programs will open, edit, and save files created in Microsoft programs, as well as let you create your own files.
