Phi Theta Kappa Members
If you wish to wear the gold Phi Theta Kappa stole during graduation, you must follow one of the options below. There are no exceptions, so plan ahead. For more information, contact Yvonne Sly at email@example.com or Christina O'Brien at firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Purchasing a stole: Purchase a stole to keep from the online PTK store at http://recognitions.ptk.org. You will need your PTK member ID, which is on your PTK membership card from headquarters. The stoles usually cost approximately $20. Order early so you have it before Commencement.
- Borrow a stole from the Alpha Tau Xi chapter: You may borrow a stole from the chapter for the ceremony, but a $20 cash deposit is required to check out a stole. The chapter must take a $20 deposit to cover the cost of replacing any stole that is not returned. No exceptions. The number of available stoles is limited, and they will be loaned out on a first-come, first-served basis. Arrive early for the ceremony. The stole may be picked up from the Phi Theta Kappa information tables at the Coliseum on the day of Commencement. You must pick up your stole before 7:15 p.m. The stoles must be returned to the PTK table at the reception in Expo IV no later than 10:30 p.m. When you return the stole, your deposit will be returned to you, and you can pick up your diploma seal as well.
Gold PTK Diploma seals: All Phi Theta Kappa members receive a gold seal to put on their diplomas. You will receive your gold seal after the ceremony at the PTK table at the reception in Expo IV. Any PTK graduate who is not attending Commencement may still receive the diploma seal. Contact Yvonne Sly at email@example.com or Christina O'Brien at firstname.lastname@example.org to have your seal mailed. NOTE: The only way to receive a seal is through your chapter advisors. You cannot purchase a seal at Recognitions Online.
