USA Funds Life Skills

USA Funds Life Skills is made up of interactive online lessons designed to help students be more successful in college using realistic content that relates to everyday experiences. 

CREATING YOUR LIFE SKILLS ACCOUNT

What you will need:

  • Ivy Tech Email Address: This email account was provided to you at admission and ends in @ivytech.edu.
  • Student ID: Ivy Tech Student ID (C Number) that was provided to you at admission.
  • School Code: 00991700
  • Student Access Code: 00991700-01

How to Create Your Account:

Use the instructions below or from the Quick Start Guide

  • Click here to access the Life Skills web site.
  • Create a Life Skills user name and password by clicking on "Request a New Account".
  • Enter your information in all required fields.To ensure results are properly transmitted to the college, the following fields must be filled out exactly as outlined below:
    • Username: Enter your Ivy Tech email address ending in @ivytech.edu
    • School Assigned Student ID: Enter your Ivy Tech Student ID (C Number)
    • School Code: 00991700
    • Student Access Code: 00991700-01
  • Click the "Create Account" link in the lower right corner to create your account.
  • In the "Account Created Successfully" window, click the "Security Questions" link to set up your personal security questions and answers. 

Note: If you forget your password on future visits, click the "Forgot your password?" link under the Login form to either reset your password using security questions (if you set them up) or to have a new password sent to your Ivy Tech email account.

    

COMPLETING LIFE SKILLS LESSONS

After you have created and signed in to your Life Skills account, you can enroll in available lessons.

Click here to enter USA Funds Life Skills

  1. Click on "My Catalog" to find your assigned lesson(s) or to browse other available lessons. 
  2. Click on the name of the lesson you want to start.  Click "Enroll".  To find out which Life Skills Lesson(s) you are required to take, review your requirements on Campus Connect.
  3. Complete the Assessment at the end of the lesson.  A score of 70 percent or higher is required to pass the lesson and have the lesson recorded on your transcript as completed.  You can repeat any lesson to improve your score.
  4. View your results.  A printable transcript of your lesson activity is available at any time by clicking "My Transcript" in the left navigation menu.

Note:  If pages are not opening in a new window, please see if a pop-up blocker is preventing access to web pages. If so, you will need to disable pop-up blockers to view the lessons.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Q: Im having problems signing in or creating a username/password?

A: Please contact USA Funds customer service directly at 1 (800) 766-0084 between the hours of 8am – 8pm EST.   Outside of these hours, please call (866)-722-1470.  Note:  The financial aid office cannot help with username/password issues.

Q: Where can I find my C Number?

A: Your C Number can be found by logging into Campus Connect and clicking the "Student Information" link under the Student Links channel.  Your C Number will appear in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

Q: What if I don't see the My Catalog tab?

A: The access code that is provided above determines the content you see on this site.  If you do not see the catalog tab, you are most likely missing a code or your codes was entered incorrectly.  You can correct school and student access codes by selecting "My Account" in the left navigation, modifying the fields, and updating your profile.  Make sure your Student Access Code is entered exactly as 00991700-01.

Q: How do I know if I completed my lesson(s)?

A: You can check which lessons have been completed by clicking "My Transcript" in the left navigation or by clicking "View" from the "My Learning History" section on your home page.  Lessons that do not have a Completion Date or Grade are not considered to be completed.

Q: I confirmed that my lesson is complete by viewing "My Transcript", but it still shows as an unsatisfied requirement on Campus Connect.  When will this update to a satisfied requirement?

A: Once you have completed your Life Skills lesson, the lesson should appear under your "Satisfied Requirements" in Campus Connect by the following Monday evening.  Otherwise, it may be necessary to update your Life Skills User Information so that Ivy Tech can successfully link your results to your account.  View the instructions on how to update your Life Skills User Information so that Ivy Tech can receive your lesson results.
